Issue Position: NSA, DEA, Department of Education, TSA

Issue Position

Question:
Traditional Libertarians have certain areas of government they consider unnecessary; what if any government areas would you eliminate if you could choose ex: public schools, law enforcement, the epa, irs, fcc, sec, etc etc etc?

Answer:
If I could wave a wand and make certain agencies disappear, the following would go:
* NSA: It has already proven that it cannot be trusted with the power it wields on the premise of "safety" while monitoring innocent American's digital interactions.
* DEA: They're the biggest harm when it comes to ending the war on drugs. You get so many people content with the status quo at the top of the DEA only perpetuating the violence and expense associated with the War on Drugs.
* Department of Education: Getting rid of the DoE would allow states to better control their education curricula. Cutting it would also ease the burden of student debt holders by getting rid of federally backed loans that require no risk on the part of the lending institution.
* TSA: Unconstitutional grope-downs in order to fly would be a thing of the past. It's my belief that airlines should be responsible for protecting their passengers and property.
Those would be my top 4.
